Exercise 2 Page 592

How many bases does the figure have? How many lateral faces does it have?

Practice makes perfect
We will draw a net of the given three-dimensional figure. The given figure is a prism that has two bases. In this case each base is a rectangle that is 8m wide and 12m long.

The given prism is a rectangular prism and has four lateral faces. They are all rectangles. Two of the lateral faces are 5m wide and 12m long, and the other two are 5m wide and 8m long.

Please note that this is one of many ways to draw a net of the given figure.
