We are given the following triangular prism, and we want to know its height.

The volume of a prism can be calculated using the following formula. V=Bh Where B is the area of the base and h is the height of the prism. As we can see in the formula we are missing the value of the B so we must find it. Note that the base is a right triangle, therefore we can calculate its area using the formula for area of a triangle.

B=1/2bh
B=1/2( 3)( 3)

Evaluate right-hand side
B=1/2(9)
B=9/2

Now that we know that B= 92 and we are also given that the volume equals 27ft^3, we can substitute these values into the formula and solve for h.

V=Bh
27=( 9/2)h

Solve for h
27=9h/2
54=9h
9h=54
h=54/9
h=6

Therefore, the height of the prism is 6ft.
