The volume of a rectangular prism with l length, w width, and h height can be calculated using the formula below. V=l wh We have been told that the base has sides of 2 cm and we also know that the area of the base of a rectangular prism is length times width. Since it has sides of 2 cm, this means that l= 2 cm, w= 2 cm, and h= 3.5 cm, we have enough information to calculate the value of V.

V=l wh
V=( 2)( 2)( 3.5)
V=14

The volume of the prism is 14 cm^3.
