Square root of a product

The square root of a product can be rewritten by taking the square root of each factor. sqrt(9* 16)=sqrt(9)* sqrt(16) This rule yields for all real numbers. However, in order to avoid non-real solutions it is necessary that both factors are non-negative numbers.
