Associative Property of Multiplication

Multiplication is associative, which means that it doesn't matter how the factors in a product are grouped — the value is the same. Thus, if follows that

(3 \cdot 9) \cdot 4 and 3 \cdot (9 \cdot 4)

are equivalent.
