Area Scale Factor

The area scale factor is the ratio between the areas of two objects.

$Area Scale Factor = \frac{Area of Object 1}{Area of Object 2}$

Assuming that the figures are similar, it is also possible to find the area scale factor by squaring the length scale factor of two corresponding sides.

$Area Scale Factor = (Length Scale Factor)^{2}$
