Standard Deck of Cards

A standard deck of cards consists of

52

cards divided into four suits. The spades and clubs are black suits, and the hearts and diamonds are red suits.

There are $13$ cards in each suit which are ace, $2,$ $3,$ $4,$ $5,$ $6,$ $7,$ $8,$ $9,$ $10,$ jack, queen, and king. The jack, queen, and king cards are also known as face cards. Some decks include $2$ joker cards for a total of $54$ cards. However, these are not considered part of a standard deck.
