A polynomial function is a function whose rule is a polynomial. In general, a polynomial function has the following form.
f(x) = a_n x^n + a_(n-1)x^(n-1) + ⋯ + a_1x + a_0
Here, all exponents are whole numbers and all the coefficients are real numbers with a_n≠ 0. Unless explicitly stated, the domain of a polynomial function is all real numbers and its range depends on the end behavior.
