Intercepted Arc

An intercepted arc is an arc that lies between two endpoints defined by either an inscribed or a central angle.
Applet with a circumference, three points that lie on it, and its intercepted arc
The measure of the intercepted arc is equal to the measure of the angle that creates it, whether it is an inscribed angle or a central angle. The Inscribed Angle Theorem describes the relationship between the measure of an intercepted arc and the measure of an inscribed angle.
