An inscribed polygon is a polygon whose vertices lie all on a circle. In this case, the circle is referred to as the circumscribed circle or circumcircle. An inscribed polygon can also be called a cyclic polygon. Examples of inscribed triangles, quadrilaterals, and pentagons are shown in the diagram below.
