Input and Output - Function

The input of a function is the value that goes into the function. The result of the function is called the output.
Machine simulating the function f(x)=x-3. Every number that enters in the machine is increased by 2.
The x-value in the function notation f(x) represents its input and the value of the function, usually called the y-value, represents the output.
