Apothem of a Regular Polygon

Concept

Apothem of a Regular Polygon

An apothem of a regular polygon is a line segment from the center of the polygon to any of its sides.

The segment is perpendicular to the side of the polygon. An apothem can refer either to the segment itself or its length.
