A ray starts at some point, which we call the endpoint, and continues indefinitely. To name a ray we need the endpoint and another point that lies on the ray. We can choose Y as the endpoint. Let's consider different rays starting from this point.

We can see that YX, YP, YZ all start from point Y and continue indefinitely in different directions. Therefore, they are rays. We can arbitrarily choose YX and YP.
