{{ printedBook.courseTrack.name }} {{ printedBook.name }} When we look at the $y$-terms and the constant terms it seems that they have been added since $-6y+6y=0and18+17=35.$ Regarding the $x$-terms it seems like Ron-Jon has subtracted them since $6x−x=5x.$ Thus, we found the error! The $x$-terms should be added as well. $6x+x=7x$ Then he would have ended up with the resulting equation $7x=35$ which has the solution $x=5.$
