Rewrite the inequality as two functions.
x > - 0.268
Next, by pushing 2nd and GRAPH, we get a table of values for whole numbers of x. Note that we are looking for x-values that makes the Y_1-column greater than 5.
From the table, we see that Y_1 is equal to 5 somewhere in the interval - 1â–³ Tbl
to 0.001.

From the table, we see that at x≈ - 0.268 the value of the exponential function becomes almost 5. Therefore, the solution to the inequality has to be all values of x that are greater than - 0.268. x > - 0.268
