The first thing that should be done when finding the median of a data set is rearranging the numbers from least to greatest.

0.2, 0.3, 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 0.9, 1.2 To identify the median, we observe the middle value. 0.2, 0.3, 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 0.9, 1.2 We can see that the middle value in this set is 0.7, so this is our median.
