LHS * 7/12=RHS* 7/12

- 7/12 * 12/7 z = 7/12 48

a/b* b/a=1

- z = 7/12 48

a/c* b = a* b/c

- z = 7 * 48/12

Calculate quotient

- z = 7 * 4

- z = 28

LHS * (- 1)=RHS* (- 1)

z=- 28

The solution to the equation is y=- 28. We can check our solution by substituting it into the original equation.
