We are given the following equation and asked to use a table to estimate its solution. x+(- 2)=8 We will start the process by using two arbitrary values such as 1 and 2. If we substitute them for x, we can see if the result is going in the right direction. Next, we will focus on whether the result is not far enough or perhaps too far from our final goal.

We can see that x=10 is the solution to our equation.
