The rule regarding multiplying radical expressions states: "If sqrt(a) and sqrt(b) are real numbers, then sqrt(a)*sqrt(b)=sqrt(a b)." 2sqrt(3)* sqrt(27)=2sqrt(3* 27) = 2sqrt(81) Notice that 81 is a perfect square, so we can easily calculate the root.
