We are asked to sketch a
rectangular prism
that is 2 units high, 3 units long, and 2 units wide, using isometric dot paper.
To draw the prism we will follow the steps below.
Mark a corner of the solid.
Draw 2 units down from the corner.
Draw 3 units left from the corner.
Draw 2 units right from the corner.
Draw two other sides of a rectangle in the top base of the prism.
Draw segments 2 units down from each vertex for the vertical edges using a dashed line for the hidden edges.
Connect the appropriate vertices using a dashed line for the hidden edges.
Add some colors and shadings, if desired. We will!
