We want to completely factor the given expression. To do so, we will first identify and factor out the greatest common factor (GCF), the common factor of the terms in the expression. It is the common factor with the greatest coefficient and the greatest exponent. The GCF of the given expression is 4q.
16q^3-48q^2+36q
4q(4q^2)- 4q(12q)+ 4q(9)
4q(4q^2-12q+9)
Notice that 4q^2=(2q)^2, 9=3^2, and 12q=2* 3* 2q. Therefore, we can rewrite the given expression as a perfect square trinomial. 4q(4q^2-12q+9) ⇔ 4q(2q-3)^2
