Exercise 25 Page p10

Look for perfect square factors inside the square root.

± 6

To simplify a square root, we need to find perfect square factors inside the radicand.

±sqrt(36)
±sqrt(6* 6)
±sqrt(6^2)
± 6

The square root can be simplified to 6. The same reasoning holds when we consider -sqrt(36). In this case, we obtain - 6 so the answer is ± 6.
