Concept

Addition

Addition is one of the four basic Arithmetic Operations. It combines two quantities called the addends, giving as result their total amount, called the sum. This operation is represented with the plus sign .

It is important to notice that the order in which the operation is performed doesn't affect the result. This property is know as Commutative Property of Addition.
