Exercise 20 Page 94

What is the difference between the domain and range?

Domain: {0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 }
Range: {0, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100}

Practice makes perfect
The domain is all values of an independent variable(horizontal line) and the range is all values of a dependent variable(vertical line).

The domain is the number of incorrect answers, between 0 and 5. Since he loses $20 for each mistake, his prize range could be any multiple of 20 between 0 and 100. Domain:& {0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5} Range:& {0, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100}
