To determine if a graph is continuous, tell whether it is made up of connected lines or curves. If there is any gap or distinct point then it is discrete.

Since a contestant cannot answer partly incorrect he can only loses exactly $20 at a time. Therefore, the graph is discrete because it consists of distinct, unconnected points.
