We are given a table which shows the populations of the largest cities in the United States of America.

We are asked to construct a bar graph of the data. Let's make each city have two bars. Blue bar will represent city's population in 1950 and red bar will represent the population in 2000. For example, Los Angeles had a population of 1.97 millions in 1950 and 3.69 millions in 2000. Therefore, Los Angeles's bars will have the following height.

In a similar way, we will graph the other bars.

We made a bar graph of the data!

We are asked to describe the change in population of San Diego from 1950 to 2000. We can find the population of Sand Diego in the given table.

We can see that in 1950 San Diego had a population of 0.33 millions of people. In 2000 Sand Diego had a population of 1.22 million. Let's calculate the change in the population! Change=1.22-0.33=0.89 We found that the population of San Diego increased by 0.89 million from 1950 to 2000. Next, let's calculate the percent increase. To do that, we need to divide the change in population, 0.89 million, by the population of San Diego in 1950, which is 0.33 million, and multiply by 100 %.

Percent increase=0.89/0.33* 100 %
Percent increase=2.696969... * 100 %
Percent increase=269.6969... %
Percent increase=270 %

We found that the population of San Diego increased by about 270 % since 1950.

We are asked to determine which city had the greatest percent increase from 1950 to 2000. To do that, we first need to find the change in the population from 1950 to 2000 of each city.
