Practice makes perfect
When calculating probability, we are comparing the number of favorable outcomes to the number of possible outcomes. To calculate the probability that a randomly chosen song is rock we will use the Probability Formula. P=Favorable Outcomes/Possible Outcomes

We know that Max has 50 songs, which is the number of possible outcomes. Let's take a look at the graph to find the number of rock songs.

bar chart
The number of favorable outcomes is the number of rock songs, which is 25. Now we have enough information to calculate P(rock).
P=Favorable Outcomes/Possible Outcomes
P(rock)=25/50
P(rock)=25/25/50/25
P(rock)=1/2
The probability of choosing rock song is 12.
