Fraction: 8/8
Decimal: 1
Percent: 100 %

Practice makes perfect
When calculating probability, we are comparing the number of favorable outcomes to the number of possible outcomes. To calculate the probability that a spun color is not brown we will use the Probability Formula. P=Favorable Outcomes/Possible Outcomes Let's take a look at the spinner.
spinner
The spinner has 8 sections, so the number of possible outcomes is 8. Out of these, 8 sections are not brown, which is the number of favorable outcomes. Now we have enough information to calculate P(blue).
P=Favorable Outcomes/Possible Outcomes
P(not brown)=8/8
The probability of spinning a section that is not brown is 88. Next, we can rewrite the fraction as a decimal by calculating a quotient. 8/8 = 1 Finally, we can rewrite the probability as a percent. We know that 1 is always equal to 100 %.
