Use the formula for area of a triangle.

We can find the area of a triangle. We will use the following formula to do it. A=1/2bh In this formula, b is the length of the base and h is the height. For our triangle, we will substitute b= 3.2 for the base and h= 4.2 for the height into the formula to calculate A.
A=1/2bh
A=1/2( 3.2)( 4.2)
A = 1/2(13.44)
A = 13.44/2
A = 6.72
The area of the triangle is 6.72yd^2.
