25 = 7m+4

21 = 7m

21/7 = m

Calculate quotient

3 = m

Rearrange equation

m =3

The solution to the equation is m =3. We can check our solution by substituting it into the original equation.

25 = 7m+4

m= 3

25 ? = 7( 3) + 4

Multiply

25 ? = 21 + 4

Add terms

25 = 25 ✓

Since the left-hand side is equal to the right-hand side, our solution is correct.
