We are asked to rewrite the given expression using the Distributive Property. To do so, we need to distribute - 8 to the terms inside the parentheses.

- 8(a+b)

Distribute - 8

- 8(a) + (- 8)(b)

(- a)b = - ab

- 8(a) + [- 8(b)]

Multiply

- 8a + [- 8b]

a+(- b)=a-b

- 8a - 8b
