We are asked to rewrite the given expression using the Distributive Property. To do so, we need to distribute - 5 to the terms inside the parentheses.

- 5(2x+4y)

Distribute - 5

- 5(2x) + (- 5)(4y)

(- a)b = - ab

- 5(2x) + [- 5(4y)]

Multiply

- 10x + [- 20y]

a+(- b)=a-b

- 10x - 20y
