To identify the Property of Real Numbers being demonstrated by the given equation, we should first identify the operation being performed.

x+(-x)=0 In this case, the terms are being added. The equation shows that adding a number to its opposite will always equal zero. This is the Inverse Property of Addition.

In Part B, we want to identify another property, let's take a look at the given equation.

x+(-y)=-y+x In this case, the terms are being added. The equation shows that changing the order of the terms being added does not change the sum. This is the Commutative Property of Addition.
