Multiply the numerator and the denominator by the same whole number.

Example Fractions: 610, 915, 1220,

Practice makes perfect
We want to find three fractions that are equivalent to 35. To do so, we can multiply the numerator and the denominator of the fraction by the same whole number. Let's do this thing three times, each time with a different whole number, to get three fractions equivalent to 35.

ccccc & & 3/5 & & [1em] & ↙ & ↓ & ↘ & [1em] 3 * 2/5 * 2= 6/10 & & 3 * 3/5 * 3= 9/15 & & 3 * 4/5 * 4= 12/20 We got that 610, 915, 1220, are equivalent to 35.
