Rate of change=Change in Cost/Change in Minutes When the rate of change is the same each time, it is called a constant rate of change. To find the constant rate of change in the given table, let's see if we can identify a pattern between each column. We will rotate the table so it will be easier to read.

Looking at the changes in the table, we see that every time the cost increases by $15, the time increases by 500 minutes. We can substitute these values into the equation.

Rate of change=Change in Cost/Change in Minutes
Rate of change=15/500
Rate of change=0.03
