We want to find the area of a triangle with a base of 6 feet and height of 9 feet. Let's construct a diagram of the triangle!

Now, we will use the following formula. A=1/2bh In this formula, b is the length of the base and h is the height. For our triangle, we will substitute b= 6 for the base and h= 9 for the height into the formula to calculate A.
A=1/2bh
A=1/2( 6)( 9)
A=6/2* 9
A=3* 9
A=27
The area of the triangle is 27ft^2.
