Fractions, decimals, and percents are three ways to show parts of a whole. We want to write a percent as a decimal. First, notice the line on top of 6 in the given expression. 66.6% Recall that this line represents a repeating pattern. 66.6%=66.666666... % Now, to write a percent as a decimal, we ignore the percent symbol and move the decimal point two places to the left.
