We will solve the equation by isolating t on one side. We can use the Multiplication Property of Equality to multiply both sides of the equation by 12. This will eliminate the division and isolate t. Let's do it!

t/12 = 4

LHS * 12=RHS* 12

12 * t/12 = 12 * 4

t = 12 * 4
Multiply

Multiply

t = 48

Now we want to check our answer and make sure our solution is correct. Let's substitute t=48 into the original equation and simplify.

t/12 = 4
Substitute

t= 48

48/12 ? = 4

4=4 ✓

Since the left-hand side and right-hand side are equal, t=48 is the correct solution.
