We want to find the coordinates of the point that is plotted on the coordinate plane.

Let's start with the x-coordinate. To find the x-coordinate of Point R, we count the number of units that it is placed to the left of the origin. Similarly, we count the number of units that it is below the origin to find the y-coordinate.

We can see that Point R is located 1 unit to the left of the origin and 4 units below it. This means that its coordinates are x= -1 and y= -4. Let's write this as an coordinate pair. ( -1, -4)
