Decimals and percents are ways to show parts of a whole. We want to tell which number is greater. 0.46, 43 % To do this, we will write a decimal as a percent. To write a decimal as a percent, we move the decimal point two places to the right and add the percent symbol.

We found that 0.46 expressed as a percent is 46 %. Since 46 is greater than 43, 46 % is greater than 43 %. This means that 0.46 is greater than 43 %.
