We want to make a stem-and-leaf plot of the songs downloaded each day.

Songs Sownloaded Each Day
45 31 29 38 38
67 40 62 45 60
40 39 60 43 48
The first step is to order the data from least to greatest.

29,31,38,38,39,40,40, 43,45,45,48,60,60,62,67 Remember that on a stem-and-leaf plot, each data value is broken into a stem and a leaf, where the digit on the left is the stem and the digit on the right is the leaf. Because our data values range from 29 to 67, we will use tens digits for the stems and the ones digits for the leaves. For numbers with one digit, the stem will be 0. 2 9, 3 1, 3 8, 3 8, 3 9, 4 0, 4 0, 4 3, 4 5, 4 5, 4 8, 6 0, 6 0, 6 2, 6 7 We will write the stems to the left of the vertical line and the leaves for each stem to the right of the vertical line. Remember that if there is a repeated number, it will appear on the plot the number of times it is repeated. r|cccc 2 & 9 3 & 1 & 8 & 8 & 9 4 & 0 & 0 & 3 & 5& 5 & 8 5 & 6 & 0 & 0 & 2 & 7 Key: 5| 5 means 55 songs This is the stem-leaf plot of songs downloaded each day.
