The factors of a number are any natural numbers we can multiply to get that number. Let's write 100 as the product of two numbers in as many ways as possible.
100 Written as a Product of Two Numbers Factors
1 * 100=100 1 and 100
2 * 50=100 2 and 50
4 * 25=100 4 and 25
5 * 20=100 5 and 20
10 * 10=100 10 and 10

We found that 100 has 5 pairs of factors.
