A rectangular prism is a geometric object with six faces that are rectangles. In other words, it's a cuboid like the one below.

We can create such an object if we start out with just rectangle like below representing the front of the rectangular prism.

If we translate this an equal number of steps to the right and up we will create the backside of our rectangular prism.

Finally, by connecting the front and back of the image and preimage, we get a rectangular prism.
