Solving a multi-step inequality is very similar to solving a multi-step equation.

To solve a multi-step inequality, we need to isolate the variable one step at a time by performing a series of inverse operations. Just like with solving an equation, there are properties we must follow. We need to use the Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division Properties of Inequalities. Unlike when solving equations, when multiplying and dividing by negative values, we need to remember to change the direction of the sign.
