# Triangles

In this chapter, we will introduce different types of triangles, described as polygons with three sides and three interior angles with an angle sum of 180 degrees. From there, we will explore methods for dissecting triangles with bisectors and midsegments, as well as methods for proving congruence between triangles.

The first part of the chapter looks at classifying triangles by sides and angles. By sides, we have three different classifications: scalene triangles, isosceles triangles and equilateral triangles. By angles, we can classify a triangle as acute, obtuse, right, and equiangular which is the same thins as equilateral. The chapter also goes over theorems such as the Isosceles Triangle Theorem and Interior Angles Theorem.

The next part of the chapter discusses additional theorems such as the perpendicular bisector theorem, the Triangle Midsegment Theorem and the Centroid Theorem.
